Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and StackMess ("we", "us", or "our") concerning your access to and use of the StackMess service.

By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the service.

Service Description

StackMess is a service stack tracking and management platform that allows you to:

  • Track service subscriptions across projects
  • Monitor costs and renewal dates
  • Analyze service dependencies
  • Collaborate with team members
  • Optimize your infrastructure spending

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.

User Accounts

To use the service, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years of age
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Promptly update any changes to your information
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

User Obligations

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon the rights of others, including intellectual property rights
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or related systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
  • Use automated systems to access the service without permission
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Share your account with others

Payment and Billing

For paid subscriptions:

  • Fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or our refund policy
  • You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees incurred
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel before the renewal date
  • We may change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers
  • You are responsible for all taxes associated with your subscription

We use Stripe for payment processing. Your payment information is processed securely and we do not store complete credit card details.

Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation:

  • You will retain access until the end of your current billing period
  • No refund will be provided for the remaining time in the billing period
  • Your account will convert to the free plan unless you delete it

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new subscriptions. To request a refund, contact us at support@stackmess.com within 14 days of your initial purchase.

Intellectual Property Rights

The service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by StackMess and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any data you submit to the service. By submitting data, you grant us a license to use, store, and process it solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

Data and Privacy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect, use, and protect your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data. While we implement reasonable backup procedures, we are not responsible for data loss.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind
  • We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim

Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the service, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will meet your requirements or that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including:

  • Breach of these Terms
  • Non-payment of fees
  • Illegal or fraudulent activity
  • Extended periods of inactivity

Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease. We may delete your data after a reasonable period following termination.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which StackMess operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
